September blog

Amazingly, I've decided to pen another blog not 5 weeks after the last one, which is most likely some kind of record. Well for me anyway.

Ghosts in the Fog is now 5 weeks into its release and feels like it is doing well. It's a thrill to see Ghosts appear in airport book shops which, as most Authors know, is an achievement. Since my last blog I attended the Brothers N Books charity function in Brisbane and had the privilege of hanging out with fellow Australian Authors, Troy Knight, Roger Marsh and Adam Holloway. A great night with a few wines consumed. I backed that up with my second author talk of the year at the Earlville Library. Thank you most kind, all those who came to hear me speak and share my love of the craft and experiences.

I have completed the planning for the fifth novel in the Damien Hunter series and will commence writing on the 02nd October 23. This novel will incorporate elements that have been rolling around in my head for the last maybe five years and will finally have a home with Damien Hunter. Aiming for my normal two month writing campaign and if my previous efforts are anything to go by it should take about 26 writing days or thereabouts dependant on life and its little obstacles. The fifth novel will see Damien along with Taipan 16 in Iraq for the first time.

Though I missed it last year, Amourfest 23 in Cairns delivered a great day. The largest armour collection in the southern hemisphere and one of the biggest in the world is found right here in Cairns, Australia. I go there about twice a year to get my fix of armour.

Until next time, which will be whenever.

Nathan..
